The conquest of The aztecs was just awesome, and not racist or abusive at all. The aztects were sadic empire which used to sacrificed others tribes people. Tribes who helped a lot spain, (and spain helped them)
by the way: cortes finally married a native woman in order to promote the interracial relations
By the way2: the dramatic part of the american conquest was the fall of the Inca empire, which was a very peacefully an ordered empire.
SOme of the spanish conquistadores of the battle of cajamarca, confess how bad and gulty the felt after that, after killing atahualpa and his kingdom
By the way3: Spanish conquest was less bad than others nations conquest. But many natives died from diferent virus infecctions, and of course, some spanish bastards. There are bad people everywgere, and if you give power to them, they can be even more sadic and cruel

The painting above is a an example of the Conquistador legend, that a handful of Spanish adventures armed with sword, cross and gun single-handedly conquered an empire. Historically however the legend is only half true. As Henry Kamen explained in Empire: How Spain Became a World Power, the Conquistadors were assisted enormously by the Tlaxcalans and other tribes in Mexico.

That said, it's still a great painiting

The true conquerors the aztec empire were the Tlaxcalans, they were also instrumental in the establishment of the early spanish settlements in mexico.

Not really, the Spanish defeated the Tlaxcalans several times before they joined them, the Tlaxcalans were only part of the alliance (Even if the most important of the native peoples), and the Tlaxcalans could never have done it by themselves. The true conquerors were the Spanish.
